OK...this has piqued my interest.  I made a New Year's resolution to
stop picking on spelling and grammar errors, but I need to know what's going
on here.

Obviously Dave knows what I consider the right way to spell the opposite
of win (lose), but uses the 'wrong' way before it.  Is 'loose' (which I
consider the opposite of tight) a correct spelling of 'lose' in some areas
of the world?  I guess I am asking if you were taught to spell it that way,
wherever you grew up.

I am not trying to be a smartass, I am genuinely curious.  I would like
to know if that which I consider to be a spelling error is merely a regional
variation.

Thanks,

~daxe

NOpE!  I had no clue which was right..:)  so I included both.  I would
'guess' the lose is the correct spelling but this is what happens when
you try to write colloquially(and the spell checker didn't bite on that
word so it's a guess too!<vbg> )
