Apologies in advance, since I can guess this has been discussed here before.
I was wondering if there's a consensus of opinion on why vroc suffers so
many disconnections.  Are these 'fair weather' drivers who give up as soon
as they crash and lose a few places (usually at turn one) ?  Or are we
talking internet (service provider) issues, or server capacity problems?
I guess it would be a bit of both, but i'd still like to know what people
think. :)
Simon.

From my experience, it's mostly people disconnecting after they crash.
I've been caught up in many crashes in turn 1 at Monza (mind you, I'm
a slow but clean racer, which means I almost always start from the back
of the grid) and did not disconnect, only to find that I was the last
running car.

I can understand those people, though, since racing when you're 40"
behind the car in front is not too funny (especially if you don't have
100% free Internet at home).

I disagree.  Most of the disconnects I see seem to be from dropped connections
(too many packets lost).  I see a lot of disconnects during qualifying and then
the same people re-connecting, often numerous times if their connection is
bad.  When you see disconnects right after a message like "Sorry", then it
probably is someone who crashed out of the race.

I have no opinion.
