NO ANTI ALIASING WITH V-2

by Wozm » Tue, 04 Jan 2000 04:00:00

I though I posted this before but I cant seem to find it.  I just bought a
voodoo2 to go along with my Geforce card.  GPL went from 22 to 29 fps in the
pits at monza and from 32 to 36 fps during a race.  but for some reason I dont
have the availability of anti aliasing within  the options menu.  It shows 3dfx
and still shows the opengl option but wont highlight the ant aliasing when 3dfx
is applied.  I know it is using the 3dfx just by the frame rate difference.  I
have a dell p3 with 256 megs ram, sblive and geforce with voodoo 2.
Help.

Don't select OpenGL with the Voodoo2.

Select GLIDE.

I believe that it's only enabled if your running two V2's in SLI mode...

I have a dell P-600with Geforce and voodoo 2 and using the glide hardware
option, N3 permits anit-aliasing, so I am unsure of your problem.  Do you have
any environment variables for 3DFX that might inhibit the anti-aliasing
feature?  Do you the 3DFX set to run at least 800x600, or are you forcing
triple buffering?, etc, on the voodoo 2 display options?,,  what drviers for
3DFX are you running?

We're talking GPL here, not N3.
