Hey all,
I just realized that Rally Trophy can be played over Gamespy! I tried it a
few times, but kept getting a "connection failed" error.
I'm on a network, but I mapped all the ports that GameSpy recommends and it
still won't work for me.
So, I'm guessing Rally Trophy uses other ports as well for the multiplayer
mode... does anyone happen to know which ports RT uses so I can map them
over to this PC?

The gamespy online play for Rally Trophy is one of the buggiest things out
there. I've been playing it online for 9 months, but gave up on gamespy ages
ago.
I suggest you go to www.rt.realygames.com and use their online play. Its
heaps better than gamespy - more reliable and no advertising. Also they have
online championships and a really good community chat and forum system. Most
of the top RT players are online each night chatting.

p.s. Make sure you download the RT 1.01 patch. It is required for
relaygames, and also solves an online play compatibility issue that causes
"connection failed" errors

Thanks a lot!
I do have the patch.. I must admit, I haven't touched Rally Trophy in
months. But, I thought trying it online would be fun. I never tried Relay
before, because it looks a little scary. Lots of really fast guys on there,
and the software seems as though it could be really intense as well. I guess
I'll give it a shot anyways :)
