Help with Nascar II to Indycar Tracks

by GoBucks » Mon, 10 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I am using Gerhard's conversion program to convert NASCARII tracks to
INDYCARII tracks..When I attempt to run the new tracks I get insufficient
memory error..I am running ICRII thru DOS not windows 95, and have 24mb
RAM..Any suggestions?..or does anyone have Gerhards domain name, the one
on AOL doesnt work anymore...

Thanks
Jeff

I thought that utility only worked with the original Nascar tracks.

My belief is that his converter will not convert to or from N2 tracks,
but rather to/from N1 tracks.

(The file format changed a great deal to accomodate our new graphics
engine technology, and I don't think that anyone has reverse
engineered it yet. It wasn't really necessary to reverse engineer much
to convert among ICR/ICR2/N1, since they all used the same basic
graphics engine...)

The conversion files are for N1 > ICR2, and do not support N2 tracks.

To my knowledge the track converter for Nascar1 will not work
for Nascar 2.

The converter will need to be rewriten.
