Some questions for Rick Genter ,
as Papyrus is a "registered 3D Blaster developer", (well so says the
 announcment from microsoft/creative)

If you could please tell us which 3d cards are Papyrus doing
development for the win95 / dos versions on ?

are you using the low-level hardware bashing API called Direct3D.
or the higher level 3D/DDI / Direct Draw API

And which 3d card is likey to run Nascar / indycar the best ?
<<<

For IndyCar Racing II for Windows 95 we are supporting DirectDraw. While
Microsoft likes to talk about it, Direct3D has not been released to
developers yet, and the last I heard it wasn't going to be released to
developers until January.

I can't really comment on which cards will run IndyCar Racing II the best.
I'm stuck doing development on a Diamond Viper :-( for which I can't even
get a decent Windows 95 driver. Others on the team use S3-based cards, and
the first card supported by DirectDraw was the ATI Mach 64 PCI-bus card.
As for which cards we are doing specific 3D development for, I can't
comment on that.

I read that the first version of the Creative card will be for the 486
processor group and will be a VLB add_on to the existing video card that
you have.  The PCI card which is intended for Pentiums won't happen until
after the first of the year. Read this stuff on Compuserve in the Flight
Sims area (go fltsims)

Thanks to Rick
and also to Frederick Y Mah for More info on the Diamond Nvidia

Diamond Edge 3D Accelerator Featuring NVIDIA Technology

Checkit out http://www.nvidia.com  !!!!

This is taken from th Release

Diamond's Edge 3D is believed to be the only single-board solution offering all of
these features and is expected to be initially shipped in late October

Diamond is bundling four enhanced versions of top-selling titles with the Edge 3D
accelerator:
Sega's Virtua Fighter
Remix; Interplay's Descent: Destination Saturn ;
Domark's Absolute Zero;
and Papyrus' NASCAR Racing . ****** :-)
(See accompanying releases.)
Other upcoming titles include Sega's Panzer Dragoon and Interplay's Descent II.

Does anyone care to comment on which version this will be be bundled ?
since the card's release will be late October is that NASCAR or
as I'm more inclined to believe NASCAR-II for windows ,

as David Kaemmer, chief technical officer of Papyrus, said, "Many of the
processor-intensive features of our games can be
accelerated by Diamond's Edge 3D -- high-resolution, 3D graphics, real-time mixing of
digital sounds -- this new card
makes our NASCAR Racing scream under Windows!"

I think the new Video card question is sorting itself out.

Either the Edge 3d from Diamond or 3D Blaster from creative.
Both have a Nascar Bundle

This version is a "Windows-ized" version of DOS NASCAR. It has the DOS
user interface, but runs in a window on Windows. It is not NASCAR Racing
for Windows, which is scheduled to be released during Q1 of 1996, and does
not have any of the enhancements planned for that release.
