Currently running Win ME, wonder if NR2003 might be faster (fps) under
XP

Geforce Ti 4400
P4 1.8 o/c 2.25
512 MB DDR RAM
SB Live 5.1
60 GB ATA 100
Abit bd-7

Faster? No, not unless you have something misconfigured on your current OS. XP can be about the
same speed as long as you have it configured properly and have enough computer to begin with, but I
actually doubt anyone would say their performance increased any appreciable amount by moving to XP.

Yeah that's what I thought, even though Nvidia releases XP drivers
before ME, I belive two identically configured systems, you mighwould
get identical or slightly faster fps in Me, than xp. But only a
guess.

When I upgraded to XP I ran 3dMark2001se and got a measured 10% increase
imediately, I made no other changes.

OS. XP can be about the

Been there, done that. Dual-boot, clean install win98 & XP and disabled
unnecessary services in XP. Verdict: XP still slower by a couple of FPS.

On my lowly T-Bird 900 MHz/GeForce2 rig, that is. Your mileage may vary.

I get exactly the same fps Win98 --> XP. No difference whatsoever.
