Hello, everyone.  I'm trying to use Movie Studio XP to capture replays from
NR2003.  I'm using the "no CD" patch, and 640x480x16 mode.  When I press F1,
a 0-byte AVI file is created, but nothing else happens.  If anyone has some
advice for me to help get this working, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Steve Houchen

There was a new version of Movie Studio XP posted on its website.
http://www.ruutulippu.net/moviestudio/

The method is quite experimental, and didn't work for me with d3d. I can
confirm that with this version, capturing from OpenGL does work.

I tried the latest version with NR2002 and can't get anything in D3D or
OpenGL, just the zero byte file as well.

Mika,

Thanks for letting me know about the new version.  (1.04)  It works
great for me in D3D.  I haven't tried OpenGL.

I managed to get it running as well, needed the no cd patch.
However since it takes hundreds of mbs for even part of a lap it isn't of
much use to me.  Too bad it couldn't capture at lower size.

LOL, why didn't you RTFM :) This was explained in the beginning of the
in-program help..

a free video compressor, called Virtualdub, is included. If you chose not to
install it, you can get it from www.virtualdub.org

Yes I read it but missed that it was requires for 2003 as well, thought only
referred to N4 for the no cd crack.
