Please make the replays in mpeg2 format so I can turn them into DVD's.

I absolutely, totally agree 100%.

It doesn't _have_ to be mpeg2 (it can always be converted from AVI or
something before the DVD project is created), but dammit I want a way to
save replays, WITH SOUND, in their entirety.

I know there is a utility out there but it's too limited in what it can do.
I want to save full races, of any length, from start to finish with both
video and sound.

It astonishes me that Papy has not done this yet.  I cannot possibly thin of
a better source of advertising than seeing AVI's of good races floating
around on the internet.

What utility is out there right now?

I don't remember the name, but it's basically just a frame capture utility
that was originally for GPL.

It does not capture sound, and it is limited in how long of a capture it
will perform.

It really doesn't do what I want.  It's ok for _short_ clips for the web,
but not for full race captures.
