GP2 - Possible Delay???

I have not heard this, I just think that it could be a possible delay
for the game. Thrustmaster and ***net are developing the Force
Feedback steering wheel, I think that maybe Geoff Crammond is implenting
a Force Feedback game engine so that the game will be compatible with
the new technology, what does anybody else think? Could this be a reason
for a delay???

I hope so! That feature alone would quickly make it the racing sim of
choice, because the feedback is *so* important.

GP2 - Possible Delay???

It's a nice idea, but I seriously doubt whether they would hold up
the release of this game in order to support a product which no one
yet owns. Of course, if GP2 is to be delayed for much longer (say,
until Christmas) then maybe Crammond would consider supporting the
force feedback system, but I reckon that this would have to be
largely a Thrustmaster initiative. Force feedback steering should
certainly add an extra dimension to auto simulator gameplay, but
one has to ask whether Thrustmaster will compromise the quality
of their system in order to sell it at an acceptable customer price.

Cheers,

GP2 - Possible Delay???

[... about GP2 being delayed while Crammond adds support for some new
piece of ***from Thrustmaster...]

At the risk of lending credence to this almost certainly ill-informed and
completely unfounded rumor (can you tell I'm getting fed up with the "why
isn't GP2 here yet" whining on this group? :-) it's my personal opinion
that delaying a game to add support for a piece of hardware which isn't
out yet and which a tiny minorty of GP2 players are likely to buy would be
a stupid, perhaps even foolhardy, move.

But as I say, I don't think there's any tuth whatsoever in it.
