MS Cart Racing - Steering and Foot Pedals

Has anyone used the Mad Catz steering wheel and pedals with the new
Microsoft  CART racing.  I have attached it and I cannot get it to do
anything.  I have IBM 166 with an Mwave card that contains the joystick
port.   The wheel works fine in Nascar2 but won't respond in the MS CART.
