Anyone the above machine ???. thinking of a upgrade and thats what I can

Ehr, a PII 333 is right now the worst choice as the 350 has a 100 mhz
front-side bus and is substantially faster in games. The Celeron 300 a is
usually highly overclockable and the Celeron 333a is just as fast.

Two things:

-wait until you can afford a 350 P2 - the price difference is nothing
compared to the difference in performance

-make sure that the 128MB RAM are cached, otherwise you'd have to remove
64MB...I could not notice any performance improvement after installing 128MB
(had 64 before), only thing is that now I can record MUCH longer replays.

my suggestion is to get an abit motherboard and a celeron 300A, this combo
can be overclocked to 450 and runs great! this will also save you several
hundred dollars. 64 meg ram will be fine for play. As for the video card if
GPL is a priority then get the Thriller 8 meg, if you want more
compatability with other games then the voodoo2.
