ng but found none. I have recently upgraded my mobo, vid card and ram. My
mobo is an MSI KT4AV, the ram is 512m 333 DDR and the vid card is an ATI (a
partner as it turns out) 9550 256m. I also reinstalled XP at the same time.
So far most games run fine. I am running into problems where a few won't
work due to registry missing and so on. A few of my F1C mods aren't working
even after redoing the 3dconfigs. That's not entirely bad, I will see what I
have still on my "backups" drive and reinstall what I have of them.
BUT...........the game that keeps freezing is Microsoft Combat Flight sim 2.
I reinstalled it and it plays for maybe 5 mins then freezes. My board has
onboard sound (AC97 Realtek) and I've never used this before. Is it possible
it's the culprit?? DO I have to disable it to find out.....or has anyone ran
into trouble with this before?? I do have a Montego (Voyetra) Turtle beach
card close by.....is it better to run this than the onboard?? Advice is
welcome.
