    I noticed another post here concerning Moto Racer D3D mode.  You
won't get the full 3D filtering effect unless you go to Options at the
beginning of the game and select the D3D line.  It will say On, Off, or
Filtered.  You want to click till it says filtered, and the game should
look much better.  This is if your vid card supports this feature.
    Also, for some reason I have to do this at the start of every
session, same with my controls.  If someone has any tips on this, I'd
appreciate it.

I believe with the latest patch the filtered option will be saved.

Dumb questions, but what is the benefit of turning Filtered on ... I
know it looks better, but what exactly is happening there?

It turns on bi-linear filtering which helps to eliminate pixelization of
textures by using a weighted average of the color values of four
adjacent texture pixels.
