Ok, enough of that, I know the MGPRS2 has Game Service to play online game
and thats straight forward but I never got round to playing GPL online, but
can it be played through the internet or is it by networks?

Yup, the easiest way is to use the GPL Spy Boy front end to VROC. Have a
look at:
