Where does a poor GPL newbie go?

Finally installed GPL on my new machine.  (It ran quite poorly on

course.

Now, where do I go for setups and track guides?

Also.  I've only got the CD (great deal awhile back.)  I'd rather
like to have the full package (box and manual).  Is there any online
store still selling the full original retail GPL?

Look around your town.. I just picked up a second copy (to keep
shrink-wrapped in the box in case of a nuclear disaster or something) for a
measly $9.95 CDN.  You can't beat that!

How could anyone fail to mention Allison Hine's excellent pages:

http://eaglewoman.simracing.dk/

Follow her advice and use her setups and you'll be one happy camper
:).  Hint - start with the Cooper/Coventry.  I've graduated to the
Ferrari ;).
Look around - there's *tons* of stuff to enhance GPL, and you've got a
rig to take advantage of it.  Tbird 1.4 and V5 here :).  If you've got
an ActLabs w/shifter, you've also got to get the JSJ shifter patch.

Kendt

GPL has been re-released in different budget packages. I just saw it in a
recent DVD-size package which certainly doesn't have room for manuals. The
"Sierra Originals" release, however, did have the full kit and is an
unbelievable steal if you can find it...

I have.  Constantly.  There has been a copy available forever at a
local EB in the used bin, but it is missing the box and priced, used, at $25
US.

I knew of her site, and spent time looking over it last night,
and completely missed the link to the setups.

Nope.  Just a cheap wheel with flippers.

uhmm... I'm implying that you can't beat the _cheapness_ of $9.95 CDN for a
full boxed shrink-wrapped version of GPL.  I'm sure someone out there has
found a better price (however, I doubt anyone out there is selling it for
less than $6.00 US), I was just making a point, that instead of looking
online, you might get lucky in your own home town.
Unless of course, that was two thoughts in one and I totally missed it.
Either way, this message is a complete waste of bandwidth.  Bad Curtis!

nstead of looking

It was two thoughts in one.  I love to grab up computer games whenever
I can, and thus am always looking through the bargain racks at every store
that might, possibly, have computer games.  Every place in the metro area,
I've looked.  No GPL.
