strange joystick problem

i have just upgraded my system to a FIC VA-503+ , amd k6-350 , 64 meg sd
ram. All appears to be working fine untill i run a game that requires a
joystick.you can cal the joystick in windows ok but playing a game with
the joystick in the central position there is an offset to the left.
using the trimmer you can adjust the error but then the movement is not
equall both sides. before the upgrade it worked fine so it is not a
faulty joystick. i have re-installed the sound card/game port and
re-installed it in a different ISA slot and re-installed the drivers
with no luck. anyone got any ideas as to what to try next.

system details, as above plus-
S3 Verge 4 meg video card
voodoo 2 graffics card
win 95

Whats your sound card and joystick are you using? What game has the problem?
All games? W95 games? Some games use the W95 calibration and some have their
own.

The sound card is a sound galaxy by aztech and the joystick is a standard two
axis two button type, i also have a per4mer wheel which does the same. the games
it does it on are collin mcrae rally and need4speed 3. noticed today that on the
rally championship by the q range the joystick works fine, so i am assuming that
it is possibly a driver problem somewhere.

NFS 3 and CMR use W95 for the joystick calibration so it sounds like a
problem with the setting or calibration in the W95 controller properties
menu. Make sure that after you calibrate it , that you press "Apply" before
you press Test or OK. Also check Aztech for the latest drivers.

You also might want to try re-installing the joystick itself.  If it is
a drivers conflict, this may solve it.  -aj-
