Nasdemo problems *** JOYSTICK

I got nasdemo to work on my computer but my joystick won't work.  It
calibrates and works in all of the menus but when I get on the track only the
arrow keys on the keyboard will work.  Does anyone have any ideas my joystick
is a CH products MACH I?  It works just fine with all my other games including
World Circuit.  One more question:  I have a 386DX 40MHZ with 4MB of RAM.  I
can run the demo with grandstand texture and track lines and car colors and car
texture on on the demo without any slowdown.  I was wondering if anyone knows
if my computer will run the entire Nascar game?  I don't care about track,
wall, background, grass, and/or grandstand texture.  All I want to be able to
do is have lines on the track and the true colors on all of the cars.  Thanks
in advance for any replies.

Did you go into (I think it is) SET CONTROLS and set up the steering for
joystick.  It defaults to using the keyboard even if you have the joystick set
up

I dont think you would get car detail, but that is my opinion. I have a Pentium
60 with 40Mb of RAM and a PCI #9GXE Pro and still dont get all of the detail(but most
of it).
