NR2003 Opengl Problem

by Andy » Sat, 02 Aug 2003 01:56:21

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with opengl and NR2003.  The game runs ok, but at
the same point on many tracks I get a serious stutter that last about
2 or 3 seconds.  I've tried different graphic settings, lowering the
draw distance, less cars drawn ahead, fewer sounds, etc and nothing
seems to help.  I'm running a GeforceFX card with the 44.03 drivers.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andy

Try turning off the sun glare in the graphics options.  The sun glare
works good in D3D, but it'll result in serious frame rate hits in OGL.

Andy,

When I had stutter, it seemed to be caused by my virus scanning software.  When
I turned off the virus scan, the stutter stopped.

The stutter is caused by opengl, and this issue shoudl be addressed in
the patch, whenever it comes out.
