How about you take your sorry ass and go somewhere else. This group is to
discuss auto simulations and that what is being discussed. Who the f*** do
you think you are.

This group was born from Nascar. It has thrived on Nascar and Papy sims for
years. Isn't there somewhere you need to be.

Hello...earth to Alan: there is not much else to talk about in a auto/racing
simulator newsgroup.  Unless someone has simulators we don't know about.
Please enlighten us.

Marc.

And that would take HOW long for a full field?  Not saying it wouldn't be
interesting, but it would add a bunch of time that might affect people's
connection, or schedule...

That is true, it could affect connections. The time it takes can vary with
the length of the track but like I said, it is realtime. We will attemp to
qualify 40 on sunday night at Daytona and it should take about 2 hours,
maybe less. It is done during a practice session so you can reconnect
without problem and your time is maintained.

> HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ROFLMAO
> that was funny.

Yeah, I'm well aware of that, so what else is new?  :-p
For some reason track owners and NASCAR all get
their panties in a knot at the very mention of a track
editor, while the PGA and golf course owners seem
to have no problem with the various golf course
design programs (Links, Jack Nicklaus) out nowadays.
May not be a perfect analogy for whatever reasons, but
there you have it...

> Why is it so "childish" and "naive"?

Because we discuss things that are PART of the original charter of this
newsgroup.  Why are you surprised?  You shouldn't be.  Like I said, what the
heck do you want us to discuss about, if not racing simulations?  Just
analyse the totality of the posts here, you'll see they are about every
***y sim, or PC-related situation possible.  It's not Papy-centric at all.
You just forget those easily, and concentrate your whining on selective
posts.

Because there is NO NEED for that.  But hey go create them, if you wan't
one.  We don't want them, we are all perfectly happy here.  Go try to form
them, it'll take you 5-8 months and you won't be able at the end, because
it's not needed.

We are perfectly happy with this newsgroup.  If you aren't, then you are
perfectly able to just... leave.  Nobody is holding you, except if you
troll.  And you sure are trolling.

You aren't helping at all your cause.

Im curious how you get that information to the race
You recall how TEN worked, it was easy
Unless your just using that qualifying to just make the race?

In a PC simulator everyone would raise the seat to see the most track imo

I'll bite.

I would just be happy if they fixed the bugs in the current one.  As
much as I play it, I would pay to have the exact same game with
smarter, better AI and all the stupid bugs taken out.  But...

Yes, definetly.  Just give the same damage model with a new setting
called ultra-realistic so that once you hit the wall relatively hard,
your done for.

Don't really care about this one.  I have a hard enough time adjusting
to the weather before the race.

Leave it modern.  Release this as an add-on for all those with good
ol' day syndrome.  (I have a touch of it myself so I would probably
buy it)

- Better menu interfaces
- Keep car flipping in, but reduce it.  I am sick of seeing a car flip
in every single wreck.
