So what price would the guys who fly behind the car pay?  Arcade views
would have to model the increased drag of a body flying above and behind the
car attached by a remote control teather.....as well as the whiplash effect
when cornering...

Yes, but we don't have to worry about getting real hot in the car either...

No, I will never give up.  No surrender :)

Yes, this would be a nice touch.

Not sure what you mean here.  Is the current view from too high or too
low in the car, relative to where the driver sits?  On high-banked
ovals you want to be as low as possible to maximize your view around
the corner.  Actually, to me it seems rather far back, but I think
this is to give us a wider FOV.

Here's something else: enable the hat switch so we can look around
better and not have to rely on the tiny mirror so much.

- Virtual***pit, like in flight simulators, i.e. instead of having
three fixed viewing angles (forward, left, and right) I want free head
rotation so that I can look into the turns as I approach them.  No idea
how you would handle that from a controller standpoint, but I still
think it would be a cool feature.
- FOV adjustment in the options menu.  One size does not fit all.
- As someone else mentioned, being able to move the eyepoint around
within a realistic range.

Those three things would end all the discussion about the usefulness and
accuracy of the***pit view once and for all, IMO.  If you don't like
it, you can change it.

     A comprehensive (hopefully user-friendly)
track editor, so I can try all those fantasy tracks
I have designed in my head.   I know, I know, a
cold day in heck, but this IS a wish list...

1) Improved FPS - this game sorely needs a more optimized graphics
engine.

2) A server with no GUI at all, striicly console stuff, or a plain
windows app that allows you to make changes through dialogs, etc.

3) Ability to paint wheels individually (per car).

4) Dynamic time (day to night)

5) Better wire frames (more rectangles/triangles), more defined car
shapes

6) Better visuals (car damage, wall damage, tire marks through grass)

7) Improve damage model where when the car takes a beating, so does it's
performance on the track.

8) Remove car flipping.

9) Get rid of cheesey WON and do something more like VROC

10) Realistic debris, oil, etc.

11) More road courses.

12) Allow us to add more "blank" skins to be used when we don't have
another online driver's car file.  Only haveing 8 is kinda rediculous
since there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for their selection.

Yeah, that would. WW2 fighters had adjustable***pit seats, it was pretty
cool - you could raise or lower, and move foward or backward to the view
that you most preferred.

"Standard" weight  for one male driver as used by the auto industry (at
least on this side of the pond); 75 kg.

Realistic, as in one car at a time?  Not quite sure what you're saying here...
