OK, since I haven't heard anything other than the original PR release some
months ago, and no one seems to have heard anything of it at E3, can someone
*in the know* confirm that this is still being pursued by Papyrus.  The more
frustrated I get with MS Cart the more I want this now!!!

Thanks.

Cart "99", or whatever the name is,  is still being pursued by Papyrus.
Just understand that the title is at _least_ 1year away.   I would bet
normally around X-mas 99.  This is _very_ far away.

Just don't panic, the Papyrus crew is working on it.

The following is the "last" "official" word on a a follow-up to ICR2
from Papyrus:

Subject:      Papyrus CART Racing for 99

Date:         1998/04/25

Newsgroups:   rec.autos.simulators

Papyrus is currently planning on releasing the sequel to CART Racing
sometime in 1999.  The as-yet-unnamed product will be based on the
physics system that will debut in Grand Prix Legends.

As always, I'm more than happy to do my best to confirm or deny any
rumors that arise concerning Papyrus products. (although I obviously
can't always comment on everything) I am just an email away.

Guess that you will have to continue waiting.
With GPl now bumped back slightly to September, and N3 due to be the
next cab off the rank, I would assume that CART3 has been bumped also.

Andy, you should start practicing in the GPL demo to get used of this new and
incredibly realistic physics engine :o). Now go :o).

I'd love to, but until I get a new machine (and I will), I'm stuck using this
P133.  Although I have to admit it's been working a whole lot better since I
realized the morons who put it together didn't have the cache enabled.

But I have been following the GPL conversations, and I'm optimistic for CART3.
I just hope it's available within a year.
