I bought it mail order, so, what do I do, do I call them or do I just
send it back, and my second question what racing game should I get I
want it to be a sim, I already have ICR2, I want it to be able to use my
Diamond Stealth II S220 card at least to speed up the game, please
answer, thanks!!!

The game was ordered on the 10th of Dec, but I didn't get to play it til the
25th so it has only been play for like 15 days, f***ing microsoft, said
there is nothing we can do about it, so I am stuck with a game that I don't
want, I was jacked around, there should be a policy for the xmas holiday,
f*** microsoft, It is gonna be a long time before I buy another product from
them, first they release the patch conviently outside of the thirty days for
most people, then make it clear that there isn't going to be another, so
they screwed a lot of people, I was looking forward to getting F1RS or
something like that, but I guess not, f***ers!!!  Thanks for listening to my
***ing

F1RS is nice, but you'd have to run it in Direct3D on your new Stealth
II, and compared to the 3Dfx version, it's not nearly as good.  I'd try
to find a cheap copy of GP2 if you don't have it.  Run it in DOS (not a
win95DOS window).  The Rendition chipset is pretty fast in SVGA DOS,
which is what GP2 uses.  It's not 3D I know, but it's still the best sim
out there.

Thanks for that hint.  I just reinstalled ICR2- having given up on
CPR.  I didn't quite know what to do with the CPR disk but now I do.

Here's a CPR hint that not many people know, the cd can also double as a very
high quality coaster.  It can save your computer desk from, unsightly water
marks.  Also try using it as a bookmark.

This is way off the subject, but are you a big "Stones" fan, or is Nanker
Phledge a common psuedonym in England? (or is it your real name?). Just
curious.

I tried to sell my copy at a software trade in store near me, and they
were only gonna give me like 10 bucks.  I too now have a 10 dollar drink
coaster hehehe

I know that TOCA Touring Cars looks great with that Diamond Stealth II S220,
better than on my Monster 3dfx card.
Go Figure.

MS has a 30 day money back guarantee (in the US). If the store won't
accept it, then call their Customer Service to return it.

Microsoft has a *customer* *service* line?  That won't keep me waiting
for four hours to talk to a real human and won't charge me $90 a minute?
Can you tell me the phone number of this mythical presence??

Good luck...I returned my copy of CPR 12 days after buying it (this was Nov
22)...they received it on Dec 3rd (certified mail with delivery receipt), and
I have yet to see dime one.  I received a call from some salesperson about two
weeks ago, after I called their techsupport number and raised a stink.  She
told me they'd get "right on it", but still nada.  I'm looking at it like, if
I get the check in the mail, perfect...otherwise I've written it off.  BTW, I
tried returning the opened box to EB, but they told me their policy was only
store credit, no cash back.  I said, "what about the guarantee on this box
here", and they told me that was M$ policy, not theirs, and to take it up with
them.  Well, EB lost a good customer there, that's for sure.

MS does have a toll-free customer service number - 1-800-426-9400  repeat
1-800-426-9400.   I believe you have to go through several voice prompts to
get to customer service, and someone picked up for me pretty quick (couple
minutes wait at most - but then again, I didn't care - their nickel!!!
Customer service only, no tech support whatsoever!

*** If ever in doubt about any company toll free number, just call 800
directory service (800-555-1212) and ask for that company's listing.

My cover is blown.  No, I am not British, nor is Nanker my real name.
So I guess that makes me a big Stones fan doesn't it.  <g>   Yes and
truly.

BTW, Nanker Pheldge is the nom de plume that the Stones used when all
members of the group wrote a particular song.  Instead of seeing
Jagger/Richards as songwriters, you would see Nanker Pheldge credited
instead.

Buy everything with a credit card, and try not to take no for an
answer when trying to return something. I've returned stinky games
(not CPR in particular) to EB for credit on my MasterCard. If they
won't take it back or will only take store credit, document that and
contest the charge with your card. You'll win if you have a reasonable
case.
