I got 1:01:59 at Toronto, 1:05:33 at Portand, and 1:05:50 at Long Beach.
I mainly use the ACE setup.  I recommend getting a joystick because the
non-linear stearing is necesarry to get good times I think.

IMHO, I do not think it is fair to compare times from someone using
a keyboard to the times from someone with a joystick/yoke/input device.
I suggest noting the type of control used so that fair competition
results.

Also, where does it describe what the difference is between ACE and FAST
settings? What is the correct interpretation of these terms?

And while I'm here, how can you avoid getting smoked off of the line
when you do a standing start?  I tried different turbo settings, but I
still get passed by 4-5 cars every time.  On a pace lap start this isn't
a problem.

My times to date:

Input dev - FlightStik Pro joystick
car/motor - 93 Penske/Chevy C

Laguna          1'15"
Portland        Yet to get a clean lap in....
Michigan        230mph

I agree. I'm using a Virtual Pilot with Max pedals. The yoke is great. The
pedals have broken many times, however I've managed to repair them.

I have managed consistent 63 second laps at Portland. What you need to do
is run ALOT of donwforce so you can get through turn 1 (after the chicane)
almost flat in 5th and then drop into forth for turn 2. This is with a 93
Lola XB.

I've found that setting up the car with (depending on the track) ~35-50
front shocks and and ~15-20 rear on road courses works well. This gives you
good grip out of the corners.

On ovals you want to run the opposite, less front shock (10-20) and more
rear (45-60).

I noticed that a setup that works well for a Penske 93 puts the car in a
oversteer condition with a Lola. Very cool.

Has anyone found a good setup for Long Beach?

Joe

Laguna = 1'10.2 (fastest lap in 30% race)

 the corkscrew :-(.
Michigan = 233  (fastest lap in 15% race)
Milwalkee = 169 (qualify 4th)

Setups: ACE, with some tweeks for optimal tire temps
Also run more rear bar to fix push on ovals
Opponents: 101%, 25 cars
Weather: Random
Car Damage: ON
Car: Penske 93/Chevy C
Machine: 486/66 w16Meg, Sound Blaster =8-), Flightstick

Having a real tough time trying to get my line sorted

I've done low 58 sec. at Long Beach.  I used the ACE setup and had about 35gal
of fuel when I got this time.
