Voodoo 3 3000 and DVD drive

I know this is off-topic, but I called my local computer store today,
pricing out a new video card, specifically the Voodoo 3 2000, and then the
3000 model.  In a nutshell, the store rep stated that there were all kinds
of problems/glitches with the Voodoo 3 3000, and DVD drives.  Basically, can
anyone collaborate this, or is the store rep out to lunch.....

When has a computer store rep every had the faintest idea about the computer
hardware he is selling?

DVD and V3 3000 works great for me, and everyone one of my friends who have
the card.

Maybe we're just very lucky ....

I bought the 3000 and I got a conflict with the agp bridge and CPU or something
like that. Its back in the box on a shelf in the ba***t collecting dust.
Downloaded latest drivers, yada yada yada........... Nothing.
