Now what I called a cpu cache was really just a soggy piece of soiled
cardboard from a reused crate of unwrapped pig intestines! We may have
thought of it as memory, when we scratched out code with a piece of rock
covered with lichen. And every day when we turned our code in for review the
project manager would kick us down 3 flights of stairs dumping us straight
in a cesspool. If we were lucky!

So what's your firewall?  As I said in another message, it isn't the framerate
I'm worried about - it's the lockup.

I've never been able to run GPL while my ZoneAlarm is running.  It might lock
up at any point, and it's kicked me out of a league race before... :(

I use Tiny Personal Firewall. Free but fairly sofisticated & a bit
technical.
