Although a great NASCAR game, I have a feeling that Heat will be remembered
notsomuch as a NASCAR game but as one of the great expandable racing games.
Already Betas of IRL and CART racing are out, with Le Mans and Dirt racing
also being worked on.

Perosnally, I enjoy NH as a NASCAR game, but I prefer N4 and now use NH for
IRL and CART instead.

I'm planning on buying NH Heat solely for the purposes of running CART and
IRL cars, and if someone comes out with a Le Mans version, so much the
better!
I'm waiting for the price to drop a bit, and hopefully that will coincide
with the full release of the IRL and CART add-on's.

I've got N1, N2, N3 and N4 and don't really need another NASCAR game, but
with all the hard work of folks like John Bodin and Thomas Heineman it
should be worth the added expense.

I don't think we can qualify NH as "expandable" until somebody creates more
tracks.

The way I see it, that's only a matter of time.

Sean Stafford know how to import tracks into NH and can do it, except he was
pissed about how some people weren't releasing tools, so he decided to
convert NH tracks to SCGT first. Sears Point will soon be done for SCGT.
After that, HOPEFULLY he'll put Sebring or something in NH, then my LeMAns
Heat patch will be much more realistic :)

Thanks,
Alex

FWIW, many people are being WAY too *** Sean, and I think that
some things are being blown WAY out of proportion.  Sean has already
been cooperating with Thomas and myself on the CART Heat and IRL Heat
projects, and he was instrumental in helping us figure out how to get
the AI to function properly on the road courses.

These fixes won't be released until the final versions, unfortunately,
due to the complexity involved, but the AI can and will eventually be
competitve in ALL future mods for NASCAR Heat, and that would not be
the case if it weren't for Sean's involvement.

For that alone, the NASCAR Heat community already owes Sean as big a
debt as anybody else who is working on the various mods and
enhancements for Heat.
