Logitech Formula Force and Viper Racing

Hi all,

Ok I just bought the Logitech Formula Force....
I downloaded the latest drivers.

Ok first impressions: The pedal isn't really that bad, I'm able to
control my car pretty well in NFSIII....I like it.
Force wise, I think I'm a spoilt by my Microsoft Sidewinder Force
Feedback Joystick...that stick produces a LOT of force that this wheel
doesn't even come close too.

Question! Why am I not feeling any real forces in Viper Racing??? I
have the force setting set to maximum but i still get only slight
twitches in Viper Racing? Anyone know why? Does Viper support this
wheel properly? Are the forces supposed to be strong in this game.

Thanks!
Sharad

I haven't used the MS wheel, but with the 3.20 drivers from
www.wingmanteam.com the Logitech produces plenty of force.
Play the Need For Speed: High Stakes demo, and you'll see.
Run at 100% in-game strength and 150% profiler strength, and you'll
probably be looking for the slider to turn it down within one lap.
I know I was.

I'm not sure, but you definitely have an issue. Viper produces strong
FF with my wheel. Are you using Viper 1.1?

You probably didn't install the V1.1 patch. Without this patch the FF
is indeed very week, but with the patch and the sliders full open,
it's really great!

If you've installed the latest Profiler software--3.20, I think--check to
make sure all the force settings are at 100%.  If they already are, then you
have a problem.  IMO, if there's a complaint about the Logitech FF in Viper
racing, it's that at 100%, it's too strong--but I love it and deal with it
like that, anyway. <g>
