The connection for the racing's fine, a little warping. But I'm having
problems getting to the race:

GPL Spyboy

I downloaded a fresh copy last week (1.1.03?) and it installed fine (told me
I couldn't ping unless I upgraded winsock), but shows only 1 race available,
and it looks like an intro (Alison Hine's). Chat works so I know I'm
connected. Any ideas?

VROC (from Netscape)

Connects fine, when I hit MOTD (which stands for???) I get the list of races
but often they immediately disappear and are replaced by the "welcome, press
MOTD etc.." message. If I resize the window it seams to work. Eventually
I'll get a list that will stay and I can pick a race and join. However I can
only launch GPL twice before I have to reboot.

Any ideas on any of those things....??

The reason you only saw one race is because every seems to be using GSB2.
Its still beta, but works great! You can download a copy from here:
http://gpl.gamestats.com/gsb/GSB2BetaSetup.exe    After you install that,
install the patch that is also out, it can be found here:
http://gpl.gamestats.com/gsb/GSB2BetaPatch.zip Make sure you "uninstall" the
previous version that you are running. For a readme on all the new features
in GSB2, go here: http://gpl.gamestats.com/gsb/newgsb.html   Also, make sure
that you are running GPL 1.1. If not, you can get that at papy.com. That
about covers it. As for your problem with VROC, I have no idea. I prefer GSB
because I don't have to have Netscape running in the background. Hope this
