I bought a 3d blaster that did not come with the enhanced Indycar 2. What I
did was d/l the patch from
Creative labs or Intergraph. It is an Indy2 .exe file that fixes a bug
problem. Copy this to your Indy2 directory
(backup or rename your original) and copy that s3d.upc
file (spelling may be incorrect) from any other Rendition enhanced games
(Quake or Nascar2) to your Indy2 directory and VOILA! Type Indycar.exe /?
for options
Hope this helps you guys and works for you as it did me.

Yes the spd3d.uc file from Nascar2 or Quake will work with the
Indycar.exe.  However you still don't get the enhanced 16-bit tracks,
but it's better than nothing.  Can you run in DMA mode this way?

What????  You can just copy this "s3d.upc" file fron Quake and then put
it into any game and it will be rendition enhanced?  That can't be
right.  Please explain.

Not quite that easy, as you still need the Rendition Ready executable.
Fortunately this is available for download from Intergraph and Sierra
as the patch for ICR2 to work on Cyrix machines.  This .EXE plus a
Rendition microcode files (Nascar2's or Quake's) will let you run
Rendition Ready ICR2, minus the 5 enhanced tracks of course.
