I must be one of the few still running DOS games.  I can stick with 98se for a
few more years yet...<g>

Nope...
Check it out:

$139 at newegg.com.

For the money, it seems like a great card. And I just can't justify
$300+ for a GF3.

Well, posting a list of ALL your games would be a start if you want your
question answered.

Hmm, I wonder if newegg.com is confused. From what I understand there are
3 Titanium cards including:
GeForce3 Ti 500
GeForce3 Ti 200
GeForce2 Ti

I never heard of a GeForce2 Ti 500.
According to
http://www.nvnews.net/previews/geforce3_titanium/page_1.shtml
"the estimated price of the GeForce2 Ti will be $149" so I bet that is
what they are selling at that price. There is no "500" attached to that
card.

That would a long process indeed, too long But, here's one that I know
won't work on NT, Chessmaster 7000, does that work on XP? Or is it a
case of if it doesn't work on NT 2000 then it won't work on XP either?

I have all of my old dos floppy disk games sitting about 10 feet from
me now in a box and should probably throw them out, the only dos games
I might play today are Steel Panthers (war game) and Fast Attack ( sub
sim).

Yea, I came across it last night while searching for prices on the
Geforce3.

Here's the link to the box pic.

For $10 more, I thought it was a better deal than the GeForce2 Pro
with 4.5ns.

Of course, its performance depends on my prowess at assembling the new
computer.
We'll see about that...

Anybody run these with Win2K Pro?
*) Rally2K
*) Mercedes Benz Truck Racing
*) Sports Car GT
*) Grand Prix Legends
*) Nascar 4
*) Nascar 3
*) Need For Speed - Porsche
*) Viper Racing (I saw the patch note above)
*) MS Flight Sim 2K Pro (surely, from the belly of the beast)

Thanks for the response...

I put Win2K on my new 1.4 Athlon system with 512K.

Much more stable OS wiithout activation.

N4 and GPL run fine.  Old DOS games would probably be a pain in the
butt.

Don't throw 'em out.  Send 'em to me.

Hmm, seems to me that Gainward has given it the "500" on their own. The
nvidia site specifically says:
Introducing the World's Most Powerful Series of Graphics Processors!
? GeForce3 Ti 500
? GeForce3 Ti 200
? GeForce2 Ti

Bottom line, that card is a GeForce2 Ti, especially at that price.

Yep, it's a GeForce2 Ti as per their website.
Seems they have thrown in all kinds of strange numbers for the Titanium
series cards:

I think the shipping costs would be quite expensive. They are all
probably corrupted now anyway. One of the pitfalls of the floppy disk
was data becoming corrupted over time.

Get FS2002, it runs *much* better than the 2K version. Looks great
too.

I read that MS Train Sim has no keyboard support under XP. I own Train
Sim so XP is definately off my shopping list now.
