Maybe your copy of it got corrupted when being downloaded to your harddrive??
Try downloading it again and see what happens.

Yup
Yup, that was MY first thought, too. Did it about five times, from
different sources. I saw a message about this in an F1RS forum (either
Ubisoft site or Unofficial site), but nobody came up with an answer.
It's as if the file itself is corrupted, but that doesn't seem likely.
Anybody else got an idea?

-Did you try a clean install of F1RS before trying to patch it? Meaning
completely uninstalling, rebooting, and then reinstalling?
-Do you have any other unzipping utilities on your system? I had pkunzip once
on my HD and it just wasnt friendly with self-extracting files made by Winzip
(even if I just double-clicked that exe. file). It somehow corrupted a
registry entry, and when I installed Winzip, the problem was fixed.
-If you are still not getting anything, why not send an e-mail to the folks
over at WinZip? It is their program afterall that is giving you the problems.
