        I have been a 3Dfx fan since my first Diamond Monster II card
a few years ago.  It bummed me out to see them get absorbed by Nvidia,
mostly because it made the purchase of my next card more confusing
than it was going to have to be.

        I decided to get a good nVidia based card instead, so I have a
Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS Ultra coming on Monday.  I'm sure it will
look good no matter what I do to it, better than my V3/3000, anyway.
What I would like to know  from the Nvidia fans in here is the
location of the best sites for info on tuning and tweaking the card,
which drivers to use or avoid at the moment, etc.

I use the 6.47 detonators, the most stable beta release according to
most folks.

I've upgraded to DirectX 8 with no problems.

I've not bothered tweaking/tuning anything else, 1280x1024 32bit gives
suberb results with everything :-)
