4400 card to go with a 1.3 T'bird system. Personal experience(s) or
tightly-reasoned rationales welcome. TIA.

Well I was just discussing this with another user on an F1 2k2 mod forum.
He was getting much higher benchmark numbers than I was. I had the first
40.xx version drivers for win9x and he had stayed with 30.82 because, he
said, the newer drivers had transparency problems and he would wait till
they achieved whql.
So I motored over to the nvidiot site to grab the older drivers, but the
newest 40.72 drivers were 'said' to be whql candidates so I took and chance
and immeadiately gained quite a-bit. From 21m triangles per sec at 800x600
to 24 m triangles at 1024x740 So I'm fairly pleased with the 40.72's.

I run the 30.82's, though, until the release 40's are out and I'm sure the
LFS problems with the 40's are fixed.

Crimenee -Larry. :) I don't know. I have my Heat DTM league to get
ready for, my Bullrun 1000 N2k2 car to figure out(why don't those big tires
like grass?) The SSM mod with Vipers and some 'other' inferior cars is out.
I'm swamped! I'm barely braking(err...breaking) into the 4:00 minute mark
at LeMans with big Snake-car{4:00.9}. Gotta trim some weight !!
I haven't dloaded the last two LFS updates....What's the problem. and
I'll tell ya if it happens.
