How do I run GP2 within MS-DOS mode of Windows 95?? I've tried it
several times, but the machine keeps locking up when starting GP2. I
don't even get to see the DOS4GW-message that comes up when running in
MS-DOS 6.2
I run a DX4-100 with 8Mb. A friend has (almost) the same configuration
and it doesn't give any problems with him.

did u install gp2 under dos first or under win95? what happen is that
the sound card driver for win95 often uses different IRQ and DMA than
those for dos. if u installed gp2 in dos then try to run it in win95,
gp2 wouldn't be able to initialise the sound and will stop (ie hang).
try running it under win95 without sound, i think the switch is gp2
:nosound, if it runs then you have to manually change the sound card
driver setting to match those used for dos6.2, or u can reinstall gp2
again under win95. but u won't be able to play in dos then (if the sound
card driver settings are different). hope this will help!

I did try this out, but after installing under win95 and with or
without the 'nosound' option, I get the error message 'Dpmi memory
allocation error. That's when I start in a dos-box. When running from
the msdos-mode the game locks up without giving any error message...

Heeelp!!! :-)

....

The only problem is that you need 16 Mb to run it under Win95....
