Cars Jiggle.  Especially race cars on rough race tracks :)

If you remember GT Racing (which I liked), the grass was more like quicksand
than grass.

Yes. However, when you're in the car you also feel the motion, so
your brain can correct the information it gets from the eyes. You
can't do this when driving a sim, so you might suffer
motionsickness...

Cheers!

Besides, I would say cars 'Vibrate' more than jiggle.  That just doesn't
look right.  But hopefully it won't be quite like that when completed.

The***pit vibration effect is already tunable to user preference in the
PLR file.  Frequency and multiplier are adjustable, both for primary and
secondary effects.  This is the norm for current ISI offerings.  Similar
settings exist in NSR as well; you can even choose whether to have the
rearview mirror vibrate or not, and what percentage of your vibration is
tied to engine revs vs. road speed.

Can't really say much about the Formula car behavior from the video, though
I agree they look a bit slidey.  Main thing I noticed is the car and***pit
graphics look a little cartoonish, similar to the current ones in the
rFactor demo.  I think that's an aesthetic choice, as the engine can
certainly deliver better.  The scenery looks much more realistic, which
makes for an odd combination.  Sort of like animated characters in an
otherwise live-action movie.  Rebecca Rabbit comes to mind, proving
animation's not such a bad thing... ;-)

Slow-mo'ing through the crash scenes, it looks like they've improved that
area a lot over the F1C-generation engine.  Hope the replay capability is
improved to match!

Is there another link or a torrent file anywhere?  I have terrible

Did I see a bug get splattered on the camera lense?  Any sim that models
bug splatters can't be all bad.  I noticed the cars behaved when rolling.
Too often, that condition creates unrealistic launches towards the
stratosphere and/or a dozen too many rolls.  They seem to have tamed the
car flipping.(remember when we begged for a car that could go verticle?)
I will agree, the sliding seems a tad overdone for  Formula 1, but are
those F1 or F3?  (grooved tires...'should' be F1)

Yeah, noticed that. I wonder (and it would not surprise me in the
least) if they have modelled tear-off visors, too.

cheers,

    You're a glutton for punishment Andrew! :)

It's not a Papy project you know! :) I suppose someone other than Papy
must actually do a sim right eventually though - wonder when? The fact that
there is a link between GTR and rFactor is a worry.

Right.

rFactor will only have the best physics, graphics, and multiplayer you've
ever seen in an auto sim. Not sure where you've been the past six months.

I'd be happy with 2 out of 3 of those.  The graphics, as Steve B said,
didn't quite look realistic to me either, but wasn't as bothered about
the look as the physics side of things so didn't comment first time
around.
