Are you overclocking your 3dfx card? i.e. using a setting other than
the default 60hz is bad...

I can't run more than a lap or so before the game freeze....

My configuration is like this:

PII 233
64mb RAM
Matrox Millenium
Voodoo Monster 3DII (with the latest driver for Glide (2.53))
Sound Blaster 16 (with the latest drivers from Creative labs)
and a Formula T2

Anyone had the same problem ?

As for the GAME itself, for what I could see so far, it feels to me more a
game than a real sim.  And I find that several tracks, lacks elevation I.E. if
you compare Japan from GP2 to MGPRS2, in the latter, the track feels like a
pool table, little or no elevation compare to GP2.

But as for graphics, it's quite impressive and even if I did not drove for a
long time on it, I had fun with it, I just hope to find a cure for the
freezing problem.

Thanks

Nope ! I did'nt even know that I could overclock it...

So neither my processor or voodooII are overclocked.
But in the meantime I've read on the 3dfx site, that the VoodooII had problems
with DirectX6... and those problem would be fixed when Microsoft would give us
a "stable" version of directx 6...

So I guess I'll have to wait...

No, you shouldn't wait.

It work perfectly on my K6-2 + Monster Voodoo2 8M and for sure for most of
Voodoo2 owners.

DirectX6 should not be a problem 'cause MGP is writen either D3D and native
Glide,
especially for Voodoo2 .

I guess you have install the 3Dfx version, full one : Mgprs_v.exe

Do you have more than 40Mo free on your install HDD

mail the ubisoft hotline

BTW :
You can easily o/c your Monster up to 94Mhz without any pb (standard 90Mhz)
You can also disable vsynch
