Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation 2 - problem

by Jakob Baunsgaar » Mon, 02 Nov 1998 04:00:00

Hi
I just installed a new harddisk with Win98. Now Im not able to play
MGPRS2. When I start the game I see the 3dfx logo, and when Im about to
see the intro the game locks. It worked on my old harddisk with win95.
It cant be my 3dfx card, because it works with other games.
I use glide 2.43 and to my Voodoo1 (Righteous Orchid) I use driver 3.01.
I have plenty of harddisk space.
I have tried to reinstall but it didnt help.
Any ideas?? All help will be appreciated!!

I got this problem when I installed a second CD-ROM which became my D: drive
and the old one my E: drive. I reinstalled MGP from my old drive but if I
have any CD at all in the D: the program locks up. If I leave the D: empty I
have to reply Cancel to a message box telling me I won't get any music.

To correct this, you must insert the Racing Sim 2 CD in that CDROM-drive
which is the default Win audio CDROM drive.
Look at  "control panel/multimedia/music-CD" (or something like that  - mine
is the german version !) to change.

Trouble is that's an 8x CD-ROM and the E: drive is a 32x. Anyway I don't need
the music - when I drive my real car, yes, but when I race I've got to much to
think about,
