Is too arcade.  MS Precision Racing is even more realistic.  If feels like
your car is on a rail.  Also, the car would always spin the same way as long
as you got one of the wheel on the grass.  It does not matter you are
driving fast or slow.  The sound is terrible.  While a 900 hp engine is
behind you, the engine sounds like it is coming from a distance.  You don't
hear the sound of the wind or the tire rolling.

The sound is truly jacked up.  Fades in and out on 3 tracks off the top of
my head.  Brazil going through the Senna 'S', Argentina at the chicane that
goes downhill before the last turn, and Spa going down the old Start/Finish
Line.

The AI is so-so, the Minardi's tend to act real weird when you are lapping
them often causing crashes.  But as long as you are not lapping anyone they
don't seem to consistently make any totally stupid moves.

The rear tires spin too much when you accelarate from a slow turn.  Or,
let's just say they spin disproportionately easy compared to the AI.

Contrary to what you hear from some, the car (at least with all aids off)
does not feel like it's on rails.  You can step the rear end out and
recover.  In fact, I slide the rear end all the way through one section at
Jerez lap after lap.  Also, many here believe GPL is accurate in this
regard, and it may be for 1967, but in F1 in 1997, as I understand it, you
can't step the rear end out much at all without looping it, and
comparatively speaking the car would feel like it's on rails.

Is it great?  No....  Is it good?  Yes...  Is it necessary?  Only if you are
an F1 sim *** and you just can't get into GPL.

As soon as you buy it you have to go get a patch.

I like Monaco GP Racing 2, it is not the best, but I had more fun in it that
GP2. I like riding those curbs :)

Oh yeah you remind me of that wheelspin. The wheelspin in MGPR2 seems to be
too excessive. I spin it a lot easier than GP2. Car tends to want to spin
out, but then the car is very easy to catch compare to GPL. In GPL, I can
never catch it if I lose it out of a slow corner without release the
throttle (or in GT2's case, i just keep the pedal to the metal and save it
like that)

I find that the wheelspin totally ruins the game. No matter how fine I try
to accelerate out of a corner, I either get loads of wheelspin, or no
acceleration. There is no "between" at all. So I'm forced to use traction
help. I never have problems in other sims with finding a fine line, and I
tried all settings.

Also the behaviour of the car on the exit-curbs is totally rudiculous, the
spins are more "canned" than in GP2. You simply can never catch them, they
always end up the same.
