Did anyone else notice the similiarity between the Phoenix Indycar race and
a oval race with Papyrus Indycar racing? You had big crashes, tires flying
into the stands, drivers cutting across the grass etc. Maybe thats what
Jacques Villenueve was doing in the off season (playing Indycar) such that
he was so competitive in his first Indycar oval race. And Stefan Johansson
endorses the game, and next thing you know he has his best oval finish to
date (4th). Amazing!

What struck me funny was how similar the sound of hitting the wall in Indycar
Racing was to Paul Tracy's impact. If you got it on tape, go back and listen,
and hit the wall yourself.

Emerson Fittipaldi won.  I didn't see who came in 2nd, 3rd, 4th.  How did Nigel do?
He really blew it on that pit stop.  Was Villenueve fined?  He should have been.

This week-end should be great on TV.  Long Beach AND a Formula 1 race in Japan.  Check
your local listings for TV times.....
