Joel, did you know that if you put something like a "stopper" on the pedal
plate underneath each pedal bracket to prevent full extension of those weak
spring, WILL
definitly prevent furter break downs.
I've done this since mid May, and no more break downs. What i've put as a
"stopper"
is a piece of hard ABS plastic that is about 1/8 inch thick (the thickness
of a 1.4M
diskette) and secure it with rivet (or use sheet meal screws) underneath
each pedal
metal bracket... IT WORKS!
Then all you have to do is recalibrate your joystick for your favorite
game.
Another trick for those who have trouble with breaking lockout, when
calibrating the break pedal --> don't fully press completly the brake pedal
(with try and error method
and using later the PERFORMANCE GRAPHIC ANALYSER, try to get 92-95% braking
when fully braking. It will extend the braking distance by 5 % (hardly
noticeable) and will save your tires in race session. Even at 95% braking
power i still
can outbreak opponents in PRO & ACE level.
For the accelerator (when calibrating) actually put all the weights on that
pedal and you'll get 100% acceleration very easily with no efforts when
racing.
Hope it's of some help have fun!
