N99 with FF wheel..... CHOPPY SCREEN :(

I just purchased the ActLabs USB FF wheel, it works really great with FF games,
but i tried it this morning with Nascar'99 and i'm having awful slowdown
problems. Any ideas on what i can do? Or do i have to drag out my T2 for my
Nascar racing pleasures :(
