How did it go?
Did you get on B.serve?
It's pretty mental at the start of the races isn't it. I've found it's
better to avoid qualifying, start at the back, let everyone crash and
just drive past the wreckage!! Hey presto, 20th to 6th or so in one
corner :)
I might be on at the weekend so I'll look out for you.

I thought that it would be jerky like Unreal / Quake when it got out of
sink, but it is totally playable and you can race fairly well with eachother
(apart from the odd jumping car).

I got a nice ping of <200 to Bserve, even on my free ISP (Callnet0800.com).

Well, I got his CD from a shop you see, loaded it up and everything was
OK. I could handle it. But then I got a modem.....
I was going online once a week at first but it wasn't enough. I needed
more, so then I started going on line several times and week and now I'm
on line 24/7. I needed more laps. I couldn't help it. It pulls you in
with no mercy <sob>

Don't worry, there's a natural cycle. Every few weeks you get cheesed off
with the perpetual startline/T1 crashes (god only knows why this still
happens... it's pure carelessness). But the longer you stay away, the more
racing offline feels very "hollow".

Welcome to club!

Hate to admit it, but this weekend will be our first at the track with
our real race car since I discovered GPL and I have to say that I've
been feeling fairly ambivalent about it as I packed things up for
tomorrow morning...   Thinking about missing Zandvoort with the F2
Club because of this stupid SCCA race weekend.  Wierd...
