DirectX 7 ??

Hi again people,
Just a ***, what's the general opinion regarding DirectX 7?? Anybody
having any particular problems since installing it?
I'm still having problems with my SBlive card intermittently muting and
unmuting itself and was just wondering whether installing DirectX 7 might
help resolve the problem.

All answers greatly appreciated.

PS:- Got my copy of Nascar 3 from Sierra today... Yeeeehhaaaaaaa!!! Only had
a quick run around Atlanta but first impressions are that it's gonna be the
dogs gonnads..... at least it would be if I could resolve this damn SBLive
problem.....

DirectX 7 ??

  There is always someone who has problems with each release of DX.  I'm
sure there are folks out there who are convinced DX3.0 is the only
properly working version.  I haven't had a*** of trouble with Dx7 on 2
different machines.  
  If your SBlive dumps  the sound in every program, then I would think
you have a deffective card.  If only some programs see the sound
fluctuation, then possibly drivers or resource conflicts could be the
problem.  DX7 "might" not do anything, but the best you can do is insure
you have the latest drivers from Creative.  Good Luck

DirectX 7 ??

I have to refresh my Logitech WF in Win Game Controllers everytime after
reboot to get <any> game to recognize It, using the SB Live gameport.

1. MGP demo (F1RS2) won't run with Directx 5.0 - where can I get Directx 6.0?
