OT: 19" Monitor Recommendation

I'm looking for a 19" (or even a 21", if a good price)  monitor and was
hoping that you guys could recommend a good one.  Priority is sim
racing, then 2D apps such as photo-editing, web-browsing, etc.

I read a nice review today for the Samsung SyncMaster 957mb (19").
Anyone know anything about it?

I'd appreciate sources, if possible, along with the recommendations.

Thanks!

I am using a SyncMaster 955DF. It has been and is the best bang for my buck
of any monitor I have ever had. I believe the 957 is a replacement.

There is nothing about this monitor I don't like. It is very bright, clear
and I can see no apparent distortion.

I have a Viewsonic P90f. Great monitor and for less than $300.00

I have a Samsung 955DF as well and although it works great at 1280 X
1024 resolution, this is the maximum usable resolution.  I would like
to run at 1600 X 1200 but the refresh rate is so low it flickers
badly, and is unusable.  The latest monitor drivers do not help.  Some
of the newer games and applications look great on my friends monitor
at 1600 X 1200 so I would not recommend this monitor.
Get a monitor that runs in high resolution with a high refresh rate
(at least above 75mhz at a hi res).

If you can spend the money on it, the Mistubishi DiamondPro 2060u is
outstanding.  It's a 22" Diamondtron display.

Mine was on sale at MicroCenter for $800 a year or so ago when I bought it.

The SyncMaster DF's are pretty nice.  I have the 753DF on one of my servers.
It was my main display until I bought the Mitsubishi 22".

The DF series does not have the highest refresh rates though.  They are
_adequate_, but not really high.  The picture quality is excellent, and I
still say to this day that a Samsung with it's .22 DP Invar-Mask display
provides text quality that rivals that of an LCD, and simply blows away ANY
Trinitron/Diamontron display on the market for text quality.
