What has happened to EA Games NFS series??

The releases of NFSHS2, NFSU, and now NFSU2 do not contain the***pit views
or possess the different engine sounds of each car.
The physics engines became more arcade feeling and video replays became so
limited camera angle wise.
I suppose that they are still fun, but not anywhere near as much as Porsche
2000.
Did someone at EA Games get punted out of their position for headlining a
simulation instead of a game?
Why are their latest incarnations so unconvincing anymore?

Come on now. Those are all the upsides of dual porting games to the PC and
game consoles. :)

After the first Need for Speed games a second development team was added to
the franchise producing (from memory so correct me if I'm wrong here) NFS3
and the Hot Pursuit games, while the original team went on to produce
NFS:PU.

Afterwards, IIRC, EA sold off the branch containing the original coders, but
held on to the Need for Speed franchise, hence making the recent games every
bit as ***as their predecessors within the lineage.

Didn't the "Porsche" team go on to make Motor City Online? I though that's when
the new team was brought in.

No that cant be. I have tried MCO. :)

From the post below: "All the NFS games except Porsche Unleashed were done

NFS PU seems to have been made by EA Canada:

Well, NFS:HP2, NFS:U and NFS:U2 are done by BlackBox, formerly a separate
company, now part of EA Vancouver. For NFS:HP2, they did the PS2 portion
(the Gamecube, Xbox and PC ports were done in EA Seattle), for the rest I
don't know.

The very first NFS (also known as NFS:SE) was also done in Vancouver.  I
wouldn't be surprised if NFS II wasn't also done there, due to the quite
accurate driving loop around Vancouver for one of the tracks.

I assume these are rhetorical questions, BM?
