Hmm... I have been blissfully ignorant of Paul Page's voice, and I don't
get any crash sounds during my (frequent) entanglements with walls and other
cars.  But I do get engine sound and music.  What have I done wrong?  I
took the SoundBlaster setup defaults.  I think the board is at the default
address of 0x220 and the IRQ originally defaulted to 7 (I changed it to 12
at the suggestion of my sound board manual, but this had no effect).  I have
a brand Z SoundBlaster/AdLib compatible board (I think it's called a Cardinal
Jazz?  It came with my Gateway 2000 486DX2-66).

Incidently, I am looking at the back cover of the current Byte, which is
advertising a Dell 60MHz Pentium for $1999, and a 90MHz version with CDrom
and SoundBlaster for $2499.  Since a comparably equipped DX2-66 costs about
$2200, it seems that Pentium has arrived.

If that's your price for a dx66 then you're getting ripped off.  I've seen a
similarly equipped dx2-66 for around $1400 - $1600.

Brian, try changing the IRQ to 5. I had the same deal with my SB16 using
IRQ 7. Hope it works.

And Darrel Cherry responded:
Would you help me with engine sound?

I have Ensonique card with GW P5-90 using
SB emulation, IO port 220, IRQ 5, DMA 1
          Canvas                330

Right now I get voice and music.  I'm such a "rookie" that this message
may not even arrive!  Appreciate your patience and help!
