Anyone ever have to do a repair on Act Labs Performance pedals?

I have to put in a new spring, so I have the pedal out of the box. There are
the springs in the middle, they are around a rod. I do not know how to move
the rod out, so that I can install the new springs. Any ideas on how to mvoe
this? One idea I have is to just put a***driver in one end and use a
hammer to ram it out, but am afraid that will break the plastic. Thanks.

IIRC, the screwdriver and hammer trick work nicely....  just be careful and
dont smash the thing.
I've changed springs on my set - but I cannot remember for sure how I did
it... Some pictures of it might help bring back the memory though.
