No. In fact, I normally force my connection speed down to 19.2 to
avoid modem retrains but lately I've been letting it connect at 26.4
(which is what I usually get to the net) and haven't noticed any
difference in the quality of the races.

I have a 14.4 modem and I get excellent ratings all the time. No warping in
over 25 races.
