GP3 - Forced pitstops at Monza?

by dt2 » Thu, 27 Jul 2000 04:00:00

I just raced on the Monza track for the first time and it was raining
during the race and for no reason i kept getting pulled into the pits
every other lap, i had it on rookie with the steering aid on and the
wheel just forces you to the right when coming around the last turn
and just as you're about to go down the straightaway it yanks you
right and into the pits. It also kept happening to the AI drivers as
well as they all seemed to keep pitting every couple of laps.

At first i thought all the pitting by the AI cars was because they
maybe got some damage after sliding into each other in the rain, but
it kept happening, and i kept getting pulled into the pits every few
laps even when going way over to the left on the last turn in order to
try to fully avoid them. Anyone else have this happen? if so i hope
this bug won't exist in the retail version and if it does they better
patch it because it's a major bug.

That's odd that it happens to the AI as well...

In the bottom right corner of the***pit there's a small display
that's a red x with 4 green corners, when the 4 green corners light
up, that is your pit orders (red x light up = teammate pitting)

Pressing Enter will order a pitstop on or off.

Make sure they're out when you're by pit lane if you dont wanna go in
there if you have steering help on...

They were probably calling you in to change to rain tires.  If you want to
'ignore' a pitstop, try hitting ENTER.  That's the way it was in GP2...

got the retail version, but it happened to me too. I think this is because
of changeable wheather conditions. Your pit-crew thinks it's either too wet
or too dry to continue on your current tires, and calls you in. Off course
you can ignore this by hitting the [enter]-key, but in GP3 those green
markers are so small I hardly ever notice them...
